Pepfest

On Friday we had the "I Love to Read" Pepfest in the Elementary. Once again, the Milaca Reading Incentive Committee did an outstanding job getting us excited to read!

 Soon, the Man in the Yellow Hat, Curious George, and a Safari guide arrived to take a tour through our Reading Safari

 Next, our school band, Frost BiTE! performed this hit songs for us!
 Members include fifth grade teacher, Mr. C. Anderson, third grade teacher, Mrs. Barry, Principal Mr. Voshell on drums, kindergarten teacher Ms. Forker, resource teacher Mr. Samuel, third grade teacher Mrs. Hoehn, fifth grade teacher Mr. Follmuth, and fourth grade teacher Mrs. Hakes-Anderson.
 Even some students joined in for our version of Hey-Ho
 We also had a special guest join us! Mrs. Vickers, Mrs. Juntunen, and resource teacher Ms. Anderson traveled to the Como Zoo and met with a REAL zoologist!! They interviewed her, and we learned more about giraffes and tigers!


Lastly, Mr. Voshell and Mr. Meyer talked about our goals. We have reading goals and our community service project to raise money for Pennies for Patients. We have several Milaca families who have benefitted from this cancer support project. What a GREAT way to start off a month of reading!!
