The City of Milaca is gathering community input as they make places for the "Gateway to the Northland Regional Park" to be developed across the river from Rec Park, amid the current trails. Ms. Leom received the link as a parent last week. Today, she was contacted to have student input. It was loaded onto our Edmodo Social Studies page.

It was a great opportunity to be a citizen and participate in something local and meaningful. Just one example of the value in our participation, one of the questions asks what three things should be a part of this regional park. Several of our students thought a playground was important. It made perfect sense to me!
