This morning, our social worker, Mrs. Stupar came to visit.
This is what comes to mind when I think about Mrs. Stupar ...
She is ...
* a team player (she is my "go-to" when I need advice on students, situations, and support services available)
* an advocate for kids (she organizes our Blue Ribbon Campaign every April for Child Abuse Prevention)
* a teacher (she teaches students MANY LIFE SKILLS: how to manage ADHD, divorce, death, friendship skills, organization, and more)
* a leader (she is leading our district & community in our Olweus Anti-bullying program)
* a positive person in our building (she always has a smile on her face)
Ms. Stupar is an important resource in our school. She is available to students in grades 4-6, parents, and staff. When asked, Mrs. Stupar has connections within our local community to find support for students and families. Every Fall, she introduces herself to students. She makes time for new students, giving them a personalized tour, checking in with them, and being available for students who need support to navigate the adventures of growing up. We are thankful for the gifts she shares and her role in helping our students be successful!
