Tectonic Plates

In Social Studies, we are learning about geography. We read the text book. We discuss. We organize ideas. We take notes. Today we did an "experiment".

Using graham crackers, a paper plate, and "titch" of water, we saw how tectonic plates can move together to form mountains.

Many students grumbled that they would have preferred to eat during this experiment ... there will be plenty of opportunities for learning through the sense of taste as we scale the mountain of fourth grade learning.
