Parents' Night

Last night, we welcomed Parents' Night! In fourth grade, we like to schedule our special night, about a month into the school year. We have developed our routines with our students, made some adjustments to fit the individual personalities of each group (no group of students is the same!), and parents have had time to develop some questions.

Ms. Leom's parents met in the Computer Lab E118. Ms. Prose and Ms. Leom presented a power point about the expectations for fourth grade Language Arts. There were three hand-outs: a copy of the fourth grade Language Arts Standards, an information sheet about the Math Wolf (the Milaca tutorial available on our school web page), and a checklist that helps families find resources available through School-View (grades), the school web-site, our blogs, and more. Mr. Greninger met with his students in his classroom to go over the details about Math. After the shorter presentations, teachers were available to connect with families and answer questions. At 5:30, the groups switched. Ms. Leom and Ms. Prose presented to Mr. Greninger and Mr. Lundeen's families, and Mr. Greninger met with Ms. Leom's students.
