Both of our high school helpers are Rockstars! As we prepared for our MCA tests, our helpers helped organize some motivational treats. Actually, studies show that chewing gum and sucking on hard candy can help stimulate deeper thinking (of course other studies now say that isn't the case ...).
I compare it to hearing a song that takes you back to a past experience or when a touch from a parent can bring comfort, if kids think it can help, it can matter.
We are thankful to our Rockstars helpers, preparing to cheer on our classroom of Rockstars!
