It is BEACH DAY in fourth grade (more on THAT later ...) and to celebrate, we are participating in a READING MARATHON!!
Beach Day?
Reading Marathon?
A reading marathon means students will read for 10 minutes, then work on a story map for 10 minutes, six times today. We will spend 110 minutes reading today!
Ms. Prose shared her "find" a few weeks ago. It had Ms. Leom's brain sparking, and it sounded like a "new" and exciting way to spend a learning day! (LOVE that our fourth grade teaching team shares ideas, and our students benefit from the BEST collection of strategies, best practices, and fun learning!!)
Here is what is looks like:
|
