Passport Training

Fourth grade had Passport Training this morning. Each year, during the first week, staff members, rotate into each classroom and review the expectations for the different areas of our school.

Mrs. Jenson, who works in the Planning Room, near the office, talked to us about Bathroom Expectations.

Mrs. Stupar, one of our elementary social workers, talked to us about the playground.

Dr. Wedin, our curriculum director and testing coordinator, who supports the elementary administration as needed, talked to us about the lunchroom expectations during breakfast and lunch.

Our principal, Mr. Voshell, came in to talk to us about hallway expectations.

Travis, came into our classroom to share bus safety expectations.

Our assistant principal, Mr. Meyer came in to talk about character traits, our school climate, and bullying, our weapons policy, and other details.

Afterwards, students signed an expectations disclosure that they understand the expectations. It is exciting how fourth graders know the expectations. They don't need prompting to share the expectations and examples. It is fun to see their enthusiasm and excitement! As fourth graders, we are one of the older grades in our elementary school, and that makes us leaders. It was a great start to our 2018-2019 school year!
