Pepfest

On March 8th, we had the end of our "I Love to Read" Lions, Tigers, and Books! OH My!

The eighth grade group, Picture This performed for us.

Then the school staff band, Frost Bite performed.

There was a skit. We talked about the reading minutes and our Pennies for Patients  collection. So fun to see all of our schools together!

Fluency - Stress

In our Unit 6 Fluency Unit, we focused on stressing words for our Readers Theater work.

Alumni

One of the highlights of teaching ... when your alumni return to visit ... and they bring you special notes ... just because ...

Just another good day in the neighborhood!

Thunderblades

On Wednesday March 6th, fourth graders went to Thunderblades in Princeton. It was our reward for "I Love to Read" month. Students who read 400 minutes or more were invited to attend. So fun!

We made some great fourth grade memories!

Music in Our Schools

It was a joy to attend the Milaca Music in Our Schools Concert on Monday March 4th. It is so fun to see so much joy and fun from all the participants! So PROUD!

When You Disagree

In our recent Olweus meeting, Ms. Leom's homeroom learned more about how to disagree. We watched the Kid President's advice about how to disagree. Then students worked in groups to make posters about what they learned. They presented and shared with the class. The student's work is posted around the elementary school.

Pourquoi Tales

In Unit 6, our latest genre study was about Pourquoi Tales ...

Possessive

While we were learning about endings -ing, -ed, and -s/-es for Spelling, we learned that we needed to figure out possessive nouns and when and how to use "apostrophe s".

Cause and Effect

In Unit 6, we are learning about Cause and Effect.

How We Do Things

In our classroom, when we have a question, there is always someone who is willing to step in and help out.

I love how we do things in our classroom communities!
