Read alouds are an important part of your child's learning day. Students are able to hear reading fluency and have pausing, volume, inflection, and more modeled. Parents sometimes seem embarrassed to admit that they still read to their children! BEST parenting opportunity EVER! Please consider sharing and reading a favorite book from your youth and introduce a child to a good book! It is special time together and can offer opportunities to talk and share your values and ideas.

Ask your fourth grader to tell more about the books being shared in class.
