Memorize

We are working on memorizing our poems for our Friday May 8th Poetry Cafe in Dahlager Theater. One strategy we used this week, students worked in pairs. They sat knee-to-knee. First, they took turns reading their poems to each other. Then they swapped poems. The partner would read one line at a time, and the person working on memorizing would repeat it. The third time, students tried to say as much of the poem as they could, with support, more line-echo reading from their partners. Both classes are working on memorizing their poems.
