The Sneetches

On Thursday March 2nd, Dr. Seuss's 113th birthday, the fourth grade classes will be traveling to the Minnesota Children's Museum to see a play of one of his books.

The cost will be $15 per student. There will be scholarships available for students where the cost may be a concern. Please contact their child's homeroom teacher if this applies to your family. Donations above the cost will be accepted to support the opportunity for all students to attend.

We will leave in the morning, after the school buses arrive. We will eat lunch at the theater. Students will bring a bag lunch. The lunch should be packed accordingly, and no food or items will be saved and brought home. The lunchroom is able to provide a bag lunch and charge the hot lunch accounts for family convenience. Students will return before the three o'clock buses at the end of the school day. We will not need parent chaperones for this field trip.

This was a last minute opportunity. Another school cancelled their visit, and we were invited to attend. Several of our standards include viewing, prose, parts of a play and drama, and much more. Usually, we are invited to the Milaca Junior High Play in Dahlager Theater. The timing didn't work out this year. We are excited for this learning opportunity with a quality theater experience.

A letter with more information will be sent home in the coming weeks, closer to the event.
