Alumni

In March, Ms. Leom's daughter dislocated her kneecap. In addition to being extremely painful and needing emergency medical intervention, it includes biweekly trips to physical therapy to prevent it from happening again. Ms. Leom and Mr. Leom (a high school math teacher) are taking turns to make these appointments happen. It means that Ms. Leom has invitedsubstitute teachers to her room at least one morning a week. Last week, the substitute teacher was an extra special edition to our learning.

Last week, Mr. Bertram was our substitute teacher. What makes this so much fun ... once upon a time, he was "one of us", a student in Ms. Leom's fourth grade classroom. Another special fact, that morning, three of Ms. Leom's alumni were teaching in Milaca Elementary School!



Ms. Leom looks forward to watching us grow up. Soon, we will be her "alumni", and we will be achieving our own amazing dreams.
