(A Secret)

The next reward is coming ... shhh ... we are going swimming!

Like all of our rewards all year long, students need to have:
 * their Responsibility Card
 * all their work completed and turned in
 * any Stop and Think 10s returned, with parent signature, by the next school day morning
 * no Discipline Referrals since the last reward

Students need to bring:
 * swim suit
 * towel
 * bag for their suit and towel

We (Mr. Greninger, Ms. Leom, and our fabulous team we work with) WANT students to be successful. We have been communicating missing work. We have been offering additional work time. We have cut back on homework to focus on the MCAs. We have been pulling students to work with them individually and in small groups ... We are giving out additional initials for students who are following directions, using their time, and more. We have given extra recess! We are working very hard to motivate and reward. We WANT our students to be successful academically (and to participate in this reward).

For some of our students, organization, motivation, and effort are a struggle this time of year. Mr. G is telling his students soon. Ms. Leom "mentioned" it this week.

Parents and students will know officially the night before when the permission slips are sent home with students. Students will not be able to call home if they forget their permission slip, suit or towel (we are developing "responsibility"). It will be sometime in the "next week" ...

(Shhh ... not even Ms. Leom's fourth grader knows ... it's a secret!)
