To make judgements, we look at the title. We want to know what the author is trying to show or tell us. One way we can do this is by asking questions to make things clearer in my mind. We use the details and facts as evidence to help make judgements. We can look for judgements in a text, AND we can make judgements about what we read.

Today, we continued our learning by reading the article, "Paper, Plastic, Bags":
We reviewed "making judgements". We brainstormed the steps. We applied the steps and formulated the judgement the author is sharing. Then students used sticky notes to write three examples from the text (evidence) to support the author's judgement that reusable bags was the best option.
