Indoor Recess

Mr. Greninger showed the movie, Over the Hedge today at Recess.

Ms. Leom pulled all the students with missing work and them find copies, answer questions, and get caught up. She made the time to explain, students weren't "in trouble". Students working with her weren't "naughty", "bad", and she wasn't "picking on" them. She LIKES and CARES for her students, and she wants her students to be successful. Having students work with her at Recess is one way she can show she cares.

She has been inviting students to come at Recess ALL week (except Thursdays, when the fourth grade staff meet), and several students made the choice to miss out on this opportunity to have help. Often there is time right before lunch or at the end of the day too. Some students miss these opportunities as well. Mr. Greninger and Ms. Leom are also available on Tuesday and Thursday mornings before school from 7:45 to 8:05 to help students. If your fourth grader has missing work or says s/he doesn't understand, please ask her/him if they taking advantage of Homework Club before school, time in class before Recess or at the end of the day, or even Recess. Every student is welcome to connect to these four opportunities of help available.
