In math today, we used secret code cards. The cards are all about place value. It helps us understand expanded form: 500 + 20 + 9.
In student copies of the math book is a set for students. Students were invited to tear out the pages and bring them home, for fun. Some students were excited about it, other students weren't interested. There are opportunities to extend our learning at home for students who are interested.
