Sentences

Our first writing lesson, we learned the four parts of a sentence:
- a subject (who or what the sentence is about)
- the predicate (about the who or what or the action)
- starts with a capital letter
- ends with a punctuation mark

Students were invited to write a sentence in their notebook. Then as time permitted, we had students share their sentences on the board. We ran out of time. Our goal is to have students using our board often.
