Compass Odyssey

One of the on-line learning tools your child will be using in fourth grade is Compass-Odyssey.

Compass-Odyssey uses the MAP Math and Reading Test information to individualize learning for YOUR individual child. In addition, teachers can assign specific skills for your student to work on.

The program has sections where they teach lessons, offer guided practice with feedback, and check your child's progress. Weekly progress reports are emailed to the teachers as well as 24-7 availability to check student usage and learning.

Students can access Odyssey on their iPads using the Puffin app. The program works best when accessed from a computer, so asking your child to show you from your home computer or to show the grandparents on your next visit would be a great learning opportunity.

Headphones are important, because it offers students to have their individual learning without the distraction of twenty-four other lessons happening at the same time in the classroom.

Our school invests in this on-line experience. It closely correlates with the skills and expectations students need to demonstrate for the state testing. Please ask your child to tell you more.
