Introducing Spelling

Each week, Ms. Leom introduces the Spelling pattern for the week. Students are given a copy of the notes, and we go over the details of the lesson.

Then, Ms. Leom hands out the lesson. We go into great detail, labeling the assignment as "Homework", that it is two sides, and the due date. We go through each section of the practice. Ms. Leom models the steps to be successful. Students participate and help with strategies as we begin. Students are encouraged to work WITH the class and start.

Being in class on the first day of the new week is helpful and hard to duplicate independently.
