Compass-Odyssey

Ms. Leom's Reading Flex Students spent the week focusing on the centers they will use when Ms. Leom is working with her small groups. We spent time doing each activity, developed a plan of expectations for each, and practiced (not always in that order). The different activities students might be working on for any given day might include:
* small group instruction with Ms. Leom (groups of 2-5 students)
* read to partner (usually the genre study of the current unit)
* Odyssey Reading (individualized iPad on-line interactive instruction based on MAP Reading test results)
* Word Work / Vocabulary (developing Greek and Latin roots)
* Writing (journaling to start)
* Read to Self
