In our classroom, there are opportunities to learn, every time we open a book! One exciting event we value in our classroom is when students take the strategies and skills we are learning in class and SEE it IN application somewhere else! It can be a spelling word that is in a book their reading, a vocabulary term that is in a text for another class, a map of the Northeast States in a book we are using small group instruction that relates to Social Studies, the overlaps are amazing and exciting!!

When it happens, we invite the many teachers that are in our room to step up and teach the class ... just be aware, Ms. Leom might just be in her student role ...
