Book Check-Out!

Mr. Greninger and Ms. Leom share Book Check-Out on Day 4 at 8:15 am. Today, the first day of school, both classes went to the media center to check out books. Usually, one teacher stays back with any students who aren't checking out books (forgotten books are a bummer), while the other staff member is available in the Media Center. It is one of many ways Mr. G and Ms. Leom work well together.

Ms. Vickers runs her library well. Mrs. C helps check out books and Mrs. Vickers checks each book leaving to note any damage to the books, so that student isn't held responsible. 

The books are inspected on their return too. Our budget is tight, and we make the extra effort to take care of what we have. 

Mrs. Vickers is also the media teacher. Once a week, students visit the media center as part of their specials. She teaches digital responsibility, Internet safety, and more. 

In addition, Mrs. Vickers is a leader for our reading incentives that includes our annual visiting published author, and so muc more. If you see Mrs. Vickers, be sure to let her know how much we appreciate her. She works with over 800 students and has an important role (s) in our school! We are so THANKFUL for the gifts she shares!
