School on Saturday

Since Ms. Leom teaches school during the week, when she wants to be a student, she goes to school on Saturday. She left Milaca in the six AM hour to attend a workshop on Guided Reading given by the nationally known expert, Jan Richardson.

The first part of the day was spent learning about apps to teach reading beyond surface learning. 

Then ... Ms. Leom sat in the front row, an arm reach from Jan Richardson herself!

And then, this happened! Ms. Leom met her!!

Ms. Juntunen, Mrs. Kipka, Mrs. Barland, and friends representing at least three other districts were also in attendance. 

Ms. Leom looks forward to another day to process her learning, and beginning to put the new ideas to work on Monday morning. 

The learner never ends, even on a Saturday!
