Pomegranate

In the Global Read Aloud 2018, Ms. Leom is reading Amal Unbound. In our chapter, our character purchases a pomegranate as a special treat. This evolves into a big event in the story, and Ms. Leom wanted to develop the sensory details as we read. Students had a time to feel and smell the pomegranate. Then Ms. Leom cut it open. They could smell it again. Then Ms. Leom shared the seeds for students to eat.
