The Milaca School Board has started research to look
into a “Flexible Learning Year”, looking into a pre-Labor Day start time. In a
survey given last year, 37% of the survey participants were interested in
pursuing what this calendar might look like. The Minnesota Department of
Education requires three community meetings to begin the process. The meetings
are scheduled for November 17, 22, and 29 at 5:30. The location has not been
decided.
Please consider being involved and learning more
about this possible calendar change. Our school board cares about the opinions
of parents. Your time and input matters. Look for more information from the
