Making Inferences

We are starting Unit 3 in Language Arts / Reading. Our strategies are Making Inferences and Visualizing. (The only rule, please no judging Ms. Leom's "artistic" skills ... :) )

We introduced the reading strategy.

We practiced applying the strategy to reading a text.



Then we began to develop our notes.
   

Generally, students are very good at making inferences. They do it all the time in their lives. They put together clues of tone, words, and actions to determine what is going on in their world. They need significantly more practice to "read between the lines" in text. This is our great learning journey in the coming week!
