You Got Mail

Ms. Leom had some unexpected time this morning with her students, and together, we walked through the steps to ... pause for effect and because having students enter long, complicated text is a challenge to even the most experienced and patient of all people ... our emails.

Ms. Leom showed us her to copy ...

Every student in grades 4-12 have a gmail account email address. It is within a closed system, meaning they can only access emails of students and staff within the district. The emails are used to communicate with teachers and turn in assignments.

We were very clear to explain, your emails are NOT private. Anything you say can and will be saved and filed. It can be accessed by the technology department and administration. All school rules should be applied. Or Ms. Leom's super hero themed line, "Do good."

Some students were not in class as Ms. Leom introduced student emails for the first time. The best part, there will be at least one or two peers who will be able to walk through the steps and individually teach these students and have them set up by the end of the day!

Ms. Leom emailed everyone. She invited students to email her a reply. We'll spend another day with "this" basic use, then using the email for learning will be in place.

It was an exciting morning in Ms. Leom's fourth grade!
