Epic

On Monday, Ms. Leom had all her students sign into Epic! This online library is free to educators during the school day. There are many books, some audio versions, and some videos available on Epic for students to access. This app offers a variety of supporting text for students to read-more-about-it and have some choice. Ms. Leom can introduce a topic, and students can often select several titles about that topic.

Ms. Leom can also check the app and student history at any time. She can track what students are reading, how much time they spent reading, and if they are accessing videos or audio books. Ms. Leom shared that detail, not to worry students, but to be open and let them know that she does check. She would like them to make responsible choices with this reading option.

Epic is available to parents for a monthly subscription. Ms. Leom will have Epic available at Family Fun Night for interested parents and students to try out.
