Latitude and Longitude

In Social Studies, we are learning about latitude and longitude.

We've watched some videos to support our learning ... a rap ... learned about some map skills ... used a real-life travel adventure of Ms. Leom's mom who is visiting fabric stores with her best friend (for some reason Ms. Leom's dad has other interests at home)

... another learning video ... some definition work using a traditional text book ...

and sticky notes to "lesson the noise" where it can help students focus on the definitions ...

as well as an on-line latitude and longitude game 

Students learn in many different ways ... from songs, to text, to visuals, to games, and more. Our learning is repetitive, and working to use multi-modal approaches to engage and connect with each of our learners.
