Setting Up

One of the best parts of fourth grade, after the students, is their ability to participate and be involved in setting up the classroom community and learning they want for their fourth grade experience. By fourth grade, they know. We generate what we want, and then we practice. Note, what is important to one class, may not look and sound the same for the other class.

First, we focus on Read to Self.

On Monday, Mr. Greninger's class identified their Read to Self rules

Next, we focus on Read with Partner. We call this "EEKK"

Then, it is time to practice.
