On Thursday, we tie-dyed our t-shirts. We weren't sure how to arrange our shirts for tie dying, so Ms. Leom found a short online
video to help us. She was too busy with tape tags and helping problem solving to capture any pictures. Luckily, her homeroom class is filled with students who encourage and support their classmates!
Our shirts were sent to the tie dye room in a bag to be soaked in solution. We arrived as Mrs. Stupar was pulling them for the bucket. She was able to read our tape tags secured around the rubber bands to return the shirts to every student. Notice how patient our class waits (something I am impressed and proud of about this group of students).

After students had their shirt, they picked one of the four random tables in the room to begin their creations. The tables and floors were covered in plastic, and the work spaces were wiped down after each group to limit the dye on student clothing.

This project took less than twenty minutes from start to finish. Our students had experience from last year. They were mature and serious in their work. We look forward to seeing all the tie dye results when students wear them to school!
A special thank you to all the parents and adults who helped make tie dying t-shirts possible or provided shirts for your students! Each shirt is unique and special, and it is fun to see our students' pride.
